1st week back at Liberty!!!

Greetings from Liberty!!!

I have been back for a week now and it's been rough. I took a one week philosophy class (something I had to do so I can graduate on time). And during the class this week, I found out that Chief Dalton and Mr. Lane past away. Chief Dalton was one of my high school friend's dad. And Mr. Lane was a neighbor of mine since I can remember. For more go to https://webmail.liberty.edu/owa/redir.aspx?C=66c5e3e99f764731a21715efa40d6aac&URL=http%3a%2f%2fchristopherosgood.blogspot.com%2f2009%2f01%2frip-cheif-dalton.html

Other than that, I have been busy trying to find more Catholics at Liberty, and we found about 3 or 4 students that are really excited and anxious to get involved! On top of that, I have found many more Alumni and Faculty that are Catholic and want to help us get this group approved!!!

This past weekend there were 2 students and I that went up to stay at Maria's house. On Saturday we all made the drive to DC to watch Br. James Brent OP, be Ordained as a Deacon! It was great to see him along with Br. Ignatius (who both had a part in my conversion and vocation)! Pictures are attached (fist 3 are from break, 4th is of Deacon James Brent OP and me, and the fifth is of Br. Ignatius OP and me).

It was also great talking with Maria's dad about Creation and Evolution (his apostolate is to help Catholics understand the official teaching of the Church about the matter) https://webmail.liberty.edu/owa/redir.aspx?C=66c5e3e99f764731a21715efa40d6aac&URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.kolbecenter.org%2f

More prayer requests:

A family that has recently entered the Church and is struggling with alcoholism.

Fr Tim Lozier, pastor of Most Holy Redeemer Parish, Jacksonville. He will begin treatment for prostate cancer shortly.

God bless,
Chris Osgood
